An inn on the road - no dress code, no reservation needed. Historically, the place where travellers, traders and strangers ended up at the same table, and conversation sparked.

We're borrowing that idea. We're building a space with real intellectual rigor where people from different worlds can actually understand each other and feel welcome to ask the important questions - even the ones you may be embarrassed to ask. What does this actually do. Who decided that. What happens to my job. Is any of this true.

Get comfortable, so we can get uncomfortable.

We pick a topic that matters right now. We bring the right people together and spend real time on it, moving past the hype and the unnecessary jargon. We ask hard questions, call out things that don't add up, and never pretend to have all the answers.

Between conversations, we write. We demystify AI, break down what's happening in the field, share what we're learning, and tackle the hard questions about it. We go deep, but never add complexity for the sake of it.

WHO'S BEHIND THIS

Jenny Romano

Italian, based in Portugal. I've spent half a decade working at the intersection of AI product development and information integrity, and then teaching thousands of people around the world how to think about what these systems do and don't do.

I love to talk about how AI actually works, where it comes from, where it's headed, what opportunities and threats it brings. I love sitting with people until it makes sense, and they can think clearly about it themselves. And I love to admit it when I don't know something. That's what Locanda is built on.
